DESCRIPTION:
This straight union fitting connects a JIC male thread to a JIC female swivel in a compact, inline configuration. Common in hydraulic hoses, ports, and adaptors, this union is used for joining, extending, or servicing JIC-based hydraulic systems. The 37° metal-to-metal flare provides a leak-free seal under pressure and vibration.
THREAD EXPLANATION:
JIC (Joint Industry Council SAE J514): These fittings feature a 37° cone flare seat and straight threads. Extremely common across Australian, North American, and OEM equipment due to their reliability and ease of assembly. JIC is one of the most widely used thread systems in hydraulic hose and fitting applications.
