Stucchi VEP-HD Screw Flat Face Hydraulic Coupling Heavy Duty
Why You Should Be Using VEP-HD Couplers
Why You Should Be Using VEP-HD Couplers
If you're running high-impulse hydraulic attachments — whether it's rock breakers, augers, grabs, pulverisers, or rotating grapples — the Stucchi VEP-HD series is a game-changing upgrade. These flat face, screw-to-connect couplers are built to handle extreme backpressure, surge loads, and punishing duty cycles where standard push-to-connect or thread-on fittings simply don’t survive.
VEP-HD couplers deliver a rock-solid, leak-free connection that stays locked in under intense vibration and side load. No brinelling. No accidental disconnections. No struggling to connect under pressure. Whether you’re using hose-to-port threads or standard quick couplers, this is a serious step up in reliability, safety, and performance.
Ideal for demolition, civil construction, quarrying, forestry, and mobile plant, VEP-HD couplers have been tested to over 1 million impulse cycles at 133% working pressure — and they just keep going. From OEMs building hydraulic systems to operators in the field who can't afford downtime, Stucchi is the trusted choice.
Step up to VEP-HD.
No more smashed couplers. No more seized fittings. No more second-guessing your connections — just bulletproof performance, every time.
Choose the type, size, and thread style to suit your setup — BSPP, UNO (O-Ring), NPT, or Code 62 Flange. Don’t forget to add protective caps/plugs to keep your gear clean and damage-free.

Why You'll Like It
Description
Description
WHAT IS IT:
The Stucchi VEP-HD is a heavy-duty screw-to-connect flat face quick coupling, designed to excel in high-pressure, high-impulse hydraulic applications. Engineered from high-resistance carbon steel and tested to 1,000,000 impulses, this coupling delivers unmatched performance in mobile equipment, mining, drilling, and rock-breaking systems. The triple valve system allows connection under residual pressure while virtually eliminating fluid loss and contamination.
WHY YOU'LL LIKE IT:
- Handles extreme impulse pressure up to 550 bar operating pressure
- Screw connect with safety lock won't disconnect under vibration or load
- Flat face connection easy to clean, minimal spillage, reduces contamination risk
- Connect under residual pressure both male and female sides
- Compatible with VEP, VEP-HD, and HDL variants for modular configurations
- Ultra-reliable for high-frequency disconnects, even in dirty, high-stress environments
CONSTRUCTION:
- Body: Carbon steel with QPQ nitriding surface treatment
- Seals: NBR (Nitrile), options available upon request
- Valve Style: Flat face with triple valve system
- Connection: Screw together with anti-loosening safety sleeve (HDL option)
- Threads Available: BSP, NPT, Metric, SAE, and Code 62 flange
- Sizes: 5/8", 3/4", 1", 1-1/2"
- Operating Temp: -20°C to +100°C
FITTINGS & COMPATIBILITY:
The VEP-HD series is fully compatible with existing Stucchi VEP male and female components. Female HDL versions can be used with standard VEP-HD male couplings (remove external O-ring if required). Pair with Insta-Lock„¢ crimped hose ends and protective caps for best performance in mobile hydraulic environments.
WHERE TO USE IT:
This is the premium choice for high-demand hydraulic systems requiring secure, leak-free coupling under pressure €” such as rock breakers, augers, drilling rigs, forestry attachments, high-flow circuits, and mobile construction equipment. Ideal for operators upgrading from threaded hose ends to quick-connect options without sacrificing pressure integrity or performance.
