PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Continental SG Series Metric Heavy Female Swivel One-Piece Spiral Hose Couplings are engineered for extreme high-pressure hydraulic applications using DIN Metric Heavy (DKS) connections. Manufactured from a single piece of high-strength carbon steel, these fittings eliminate welds and brazes that could cause leak paths under pressure. The Bite-to-Wire interlocking insert delivers maximum hose retention and full-length crimp technology ensures leak-free sealing, long life, and maximum reliability no skiving required during assembly.
METRIC HEAVY (DKS) THREAD EXPLANATION:
DIN Metric Heavy threads are designed for high-pressure hydraulic systems and are widely used on European, forestry, construction, and industrial equipment. The connection uses a 24° cone sealing system with straight metric threads. The female swivel tightens against a matching male fitting with a cutting ring or sealing cone for reliable metal-to-metal sealing under pressure. Metric Heavy threads are typically found on brands such as Liebherr, Volvo CE, Hitachi, and European-manufactured attachments.
