PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

The SG-NPM is a one-piece crimp coupling with a National Pipe Tapered Fuel (NPTF) male thread, designed for use with high-pressure spiral hose assemblies in rugged hydraulic systems. This fitting combines full-length Bite-to-Wire retention and leak-free sealing in demanding industrial, mining, and mobile applications.

Precision-machined from a single piece of high-strength carbon steel, this coupling eliminates the risk of weld or braze failure under pressure. The dryseal tapered thread design conforms to NPTF standards, forming a mechanical and hydraulic seal without the need for PTFE tape or liquid sealants. No internal or external skiving is required, simplifying hose prep and reducing contamination risk.

NPTF THREAD EXPLANATION:

NPTF (National Pipe Tapered Fuel) threads are dryseal tapered pipe threads used in hydraulic and fuel systems. Unlike BSPT, NPTF has a 60° thread angle and forms a metal-to-metal seal without additional sealing compounds. Not interchangeable with BSP or NPT (non-F) types due to pitch and sealing differences.
