Stop replacing standard quick couplings on hydraulic breakers.
This 1/2" VEP-P Screw Together Flat Face Coupling Set combines one VEP-P male and one VEP-P female coupling, providing a heavy-duty flat face connection designed for demanding hydraulic applications subject to high pressure, pressure impulses and vibration.
Unlike a conventional push-to-connect flat face quick coupling, the VEP-P uses a screw-together connection to positively secure the male and female halves together.
This makes the VEP-P particularly suited to hydraulic breakers and other severe-duty, high-impulse attachments where standard quick couplings can become a recurring maintenance item.
Each set includes:
- 1 × 1/2" VEP-P Male Coupling
- 1 × 1/2" VEP-P Female Coupling
- Selected connection thread on both coupling halves
- Optional protective screw caps available

Important: The thread size refers to the hose/port connection. All options listed here use the 1/2" VEP13P coupling body size.
Why screw together for a breaker?
Hydraulic breakers subject the hydraulic circuit and couplings to repeated pressure impulses and vibration.
The VEP-P's threaded connection mechanically secures the two coupling halves together, making it a purpose-built alternative where conventional quick couplings are struggling with the application.

OPTIONAL PROTECTIVE SCREW CAPS
Select “Yes – Add Protective Screw Caps” to add a matching protective cap arrangement for the male and female coupling.
Protective caps help keep the coupling faces and connecting threads protected from dirt, dust, mud and damage while disconnected — particularly useful on excavator attachments operating in harsh environments.
IMPORTANT – ONE SET CONNECTS ONE CIRCUIT
One set contains one male + one female coupling.
For a typical breaker installation where you are replacing the couplings on both the excavator and the attachment, you will generally require:
2 sets – one set for each hydraulic line.

WHY SCREW TOGETHER?
Hydraulic breakers are a high-impulse application. The repeated pressure spikes and vibration can be extremely hard on standard ball-lock quick couplings, leading to wear, brinelling and premature coupling failure.
VEP-P screw-together flat face couplings are designed for demanding, high-impulse hydraulic applications. Rather than relying on a ball-locking mechanism to hold the coupling together, the male and female halves screw securely together, providing a robust connection suited to the punishment of breaker operation.
The idea is simple: use a coupling designed for the application, rather than continually replacing standard quick couplings that aren't.
