PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
The B2-NPM NPTF Male One-Piece Crimp Fitting is designed for hose assemblies on equipment using American-style NPTF tapered thread ports. The NPTF (National Pipe Taper Fuel) thread seals through controlled thread interference providing a pressure-tight, leak-free connection without the need for sealing tape or compounds when installed correctly.
This fitting is ideal for use on imported US-manufactured machinery, hydraulic valves, cylinders and components found in Australian farming, forestry and industrial equipment. Manufactured as a one-piece Bite-to-Wire full-length crimp fitting, B2-NPM offers maximum hose retention and vibration resistance with no skive required.
THREAD EXPLANATION:
NPTF (National Pipe Taper Fuel) is a tapered thread (commonly referred to as "Dryseal") with a 60° thread form. The seal occurs through thread contact not through an O-ring or flare making correct installation torque essential. Not interchangeable with BSPT (British Tapered) or BSPP threads.
