Brass SAE 45° Flare Plug – Various Sizes
Designed to seal SAE 45° external flare fittings in gas and oil systems.
Our Brass SAE 45° Flare Plugs are manufactured for use in standard SAE 45° flare fittings commonly found in LPG, natural gas and oil line systems. These plugs seal against the external 45° flare seat of the mating fitting, providing a secure mechanical seal without relying on thread sealant.

- Pressure Rating: Up to approximately 13,800 kPa (2000 PSI)*
- Temperature Range: 0°C to +120°C
*Pressure ratings decrease as tube diameter increases and vary depending on system media and installation quality.

How It Seals
This plug seals on the external 45° flare seat of the mating fitting — not on the thread. Proper sealing requires a matching SAE 45° flare connection.
Important Compatibility Notes
- Suitable only for SAE 45° flare fittings.
- Not compatible with SAE 45° inverted flare fittings.
- Not compatible with JIC 37° flare fittings.
- Not suitable for BSP, NPT or metric thread systems.
- Always confirm thread size and flare type before ordering.
